Doubt if anyone on the forum has got them on a shelf. FSD is the one you want, not yellows unless you plan on lowering. Motoring Werks often has them at bargain basement prices if you want to check with them. I'd also suggest installing a heavier rear sway bar while you've got things broken down installing the struts. Best bang for the buck you can do to a MINI next to buying fuel for motoring.

Ride is subjective. I have Koni yellows and they are stiff. But I also have lower stiffer springs. It's my daly driver. But I like the ride.

Minintrigue,
I plan on ordering coilovers next week when I'm back in the states. As a result, I'll be changing out my Koni yellows and H&R Sport Springs which have less than 15,000 miles on them. It may be a couple of weeks before they're off the car and ready to ship. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to get them.

Forgive the hijack, OP, gotta shout out to Whales.
We had a heck of a good time driving some of the fabulous back roads around Frederick last year while touring Harper's Ferry and Antietam on our way up to Gettysburg. Even found a couple of the covered bridges. Beautiful countryside!
Now, back to our regularly scheduled broadcast...-

Yeah, some nice little twisties and hills in and around Frederick!
Covered bridges and cows as well.
The benefit of 3 relatively local clubs too - C3M, DCMetro, and CarlisleMini.
Next time you (or anyone else on Motoring Alliance) is in the area, give me a shout! We'll go tear it up!

Are you staying with the stock springs?
-
I got some yellows that could stand to be replaced.
-
I'm not married to staying with the stock springs, but for now I probably will. I'm already running a h-sport 25mm bar in the rear so that should help

Folks like the FSD Koni's. I have no experience with them. Don't lower your MINI on FSD's you'll kill them in short order. Go with the yellows if you plan to lower your MINI.
I have the JCW suspension kit on my car. For me it is a great suspension. Bought mine from the good folks at eMINIparts.com. -
Hijack away any time it involves twisties and good times. This seems like a good way to go as I had the JCW suspension on my 06 when I sold it. Should have swapped them when both were in the garage.

I've been doing a little reading, and it seems that the H&R Springs drop the convertible nearly 1.4 inches all around. Will I need adjustable trailing arms with this drop?
