actually no---the R56 calipers require the R56 hose, the hose location and type is different on the R53. So the R53 JCW calipers, while using the same size pad and rotor and was the forerunner to the base R56s caliper, the hose setup is redesigned on R56

I had custom lines made - R56 caliper end, R53 car end (or, as MotoringMagic might say, an R56 hose with an R53 car fitting on it) . But I was under the impression this was the same as the R53 JCW setup. Do the R53 JCW calipers really use the banjo fittings like the standard R53 calipers? If so, I'm glad I have R56 calipers instead - better.

This thread can be closed, I sourced a left front caliper+bracket from a 2012 S from a salvage yard in Rancho Cordova and the right front caliper+bracket came from a 2011 S from a different salvage yard in Rancho Cordova. Both calipers are remarkably free of corrosion and should clean up very nicely.
Total cost was just over $105 w/ shipping. I hope to get this project done before the summer is over, just have to go buy some pads/rotors/R56 S hoses.-

I can usually get them, 125 each including the mounting bracket plus actual shipping. (Centrics-Ihave had a set on my 05 MINI S for three years, no issues whatsoever, have installed a half dozen sets on other customers cars, all good!) What about rotors? I have some very nice drilled and slotted or just drilled (actually drilled is a misnomer, since they are cast with the holes in them on modern rotors) anyway, drilled Zimmermans made in germany are 125 each and drilled/slotted 135 each. PLUS ACTUAL SHIPPING
call me at the shop tomorrow (closed mondays) if these interest you -
I will definitely keep you in mind but i was hoping to spend about $150 or less for both sides with shipping. I just bought a left front caliper+bracket from a 2010 S for $40 shipped and am waiting to see if the seller has a matching right front caliper.
