I'm thinking the R53 & R56 can use the same bar....

Yes the R53 and R56 use the same sway bar.

Just get an Hsport bar, they are the best.

THREAD JACK apologies and brevity to all.:cornut:
Since the WMW pro's are here and all................My 08 R56 has factory Sport Suspension with the 18mm rear antisway bar. I saw a picture by Dr Richter/Obnxous in MC2 mag where a new hole had been drilled in the flattened ends of the bar. The new hole was more proximal to the center of the bar and more distal to the end of the bar which should increase torsion resistance and work like a 'heavier bar',yes?:Thumbsup:or:frown2: Any one ever done it? What do y'all think?

........:cornut:and now back to the regularly scheduled thread................

Jason that is worth a shot. Doing that would tighten up the rate of the rear bar. By how much I have no clue. Free mods are great!

If you decide to buy a bar I bought my H-Sport from Ralph at Helix.

 Thank You. Every little bit helps. If I do buy a bar,I'll try to buy one from 'OUR' people on MA:cornut:, and H Sport from Ralph At Helix is high on the list.

Jason It won't hurt to drill the hole in that and try to stiffen it up, but it's not going to be as big of a gain as replacing the bar with a bigger bar. If your willing to put the time in to drill the holes go for it, but a sway bar is only $219, so decide if it's worth your time.

I agree with what's above, probably not much of a gain, but it is a free gain. I think drilling the sway bar with it on the car would not be a fun job. If it was out of the car you could put it in a drill press & easily do it, but if the bar is out buying an H-Sport makes lots more sense.

    Jason

:Thumbsup:Free, yeah I like free.Having already had visions of an ER visit to repair the newly drilled hole in the palm of my hand:lol:( I'm a heath care provider and that would be a bare minimum $3k er visit with 6wks of Physical Therapy, rehab, and as I'm Diabetic.....gangrene and eventual loss of now $5k hand):frown2:, I was thinking.......bar off of the car and use a drill press

 MA Sponsor ,Scholar, Gentleman, and highly thought of by your(us) Peers.
