A rally? Here's hoping it's the right kind of rally.

Okay, although I am tempted to go with a 1961 Checker Marathon, so I can boot the rest of you off the road, and not damage my car, I'm going to go with my artistic, sophisticated side.
My choice is the 1961 Jaguar E-Type. 1961 was the first year for the E-Type, and Enzo Ferrari called it, "The most beautiful car ever made." In my opinion, it is still one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
When a car still makes you stop and look longingly 55 years after it was introduced, you know you got the design right.

Nice SAAB, but a 2 stroke would really smoke the competition.

The one my friend had in high school was trashed. I've never seen one that wasn't. What a shame.

I found one in a junkyard north of Denver once... The body and interior looked like it just came out of the showroom, but it had a piston dangling out of the block. Unfortunately the owner of the junkyard wouldn't sell the entire car. [emoji20] It woulda been perfect for a 4G63 swap.
