Well I was able to get out after work today and put a nice 20+ mile run on them. Now you have to realize that I was replacing my old very worn GY F1's that were about 5 yrs old. I was really impressed with them when I first put them on, but they were getting worse each summer.
After the short drive this afternoon in 60° weather I can safely say that these are my new best friends. Granted I don't have a lot of tire comparison experience, but these are VERY confidence inspiring. In places where I could get the GY's to squeal pretty good, these just held right on and I am sure there was plenty more there. But I will have to wait to find their limit at a better location. I do know that my brakes were a bit hotter after the run than they would have been on the GY's.
Just for comparisons purpose......my GY's were 215/40/17's and the Hankooks are 215/45/17. And I do like the little bit of extra height as it fills the arches a bit better.
I will update after a few more miles.

Well, since those were going to be my new DD tires for the GP, keep thrashing them and let me know how they are! Really! It'll be a bit yet (I'm hoping by buying new track wheels and tires I can limp my Yokohamas a few more months :rolleyes5

I too found the V12s to be very greasy when new, even on a dry road.

All tires are "greasy" when new. They have a layer of tread separation compound on them from the rubber moulding process. Ya just need to be careful the first 50-100 or so road miles and then you are fine.
Rae, the V12s are an awesome tire for DD. Fairly quiet, good in the wet, fun dry traction for "spirited driving". -

Scott - What PSI are you running at?

I am currently running 36 all the way around as the GY's liked that pressure. Well see if it needs to be adjusted with the new tires after I get a few more SUNNY miles on them.

I just purchased new O.Z. 17" White WRC wheels and 205/45ZR17 Hankook V12s and I love the package! The tires are amazing and you can definitely feel the grip and improved handling!

The more I hear about the Hankooks the more they sound like the tire for me. Thanks for all the feedback gang!
