You guys are mean. I feel sorry for the token 'poor boy' they took along whose dad can only afford an Aston DB9 from 2005 - isn't that, like, from before cars were invented?

I call bullsh*t on that charge...only because they blocked traffic so that they could get a clear track to play upon...I'd say that is pretty observant to ensure safety. (please note I do not condone this behaviour, only pointing out the obvious)

I'm sure they all were not driving recklessly.

The police stopped the Innocent as well as the guilty. Must be like "RICO" here in the States.

The same type of action happened with crotch rocket motorcycles in a town called Osteen in Florida a few years back. The bikers used to speed down Tomoka farms road (Some doing excess of 200 MPH) They met at a store in Osteen and one nice Sunday morning the police were there with flatbed trucks impounding any motorcycle they saw. They even impounded a couple of Harley's that were not involved. They ticketed everybody with a motorcycle that morning. Osteen is just south of Daytona Beach. The road is long and smooth and straight. Perfect for high speed motorcycles but the problem was other people used this road too.

I never heard the final outcome of how many they got but the picture in the news showed three flat-bed trucks loaded down with bikes.

Anybody that has been down here for bike week knows the road. It is the one the Cabbage patch is on. They may also have been to osteen at the FoxHead saloon. (Biker Bar)

So Canada was not the first place a thing like this happened. It probably won't be the last.

The crazy thing is, it might not have been dad's car..... With all those "N" stickers, it's their wheels.....

I was assuming it was dad's money bought them all, even if junior drives it.

But then I could just be an old fart and that is what successful young entrepreneurs look like nowadays...

According to the text article, only ONE of the drivers was the registered owner of the vehicle; all the other vehicles are registered to someone else.

It's a shame that none of the civilians thought to use the camcorder option on their cellphone to record the stuff as it was happening.

50km over the posted speed limit = roadside confiscation of vehicle and $20K fine in Canada, unless that has recently changed.

We get a lot of the Canadian Chinese at our local track events in Seattle or Spokane. Big dollar cars, and often not so great of an attitude. I recall a young Chinese driver who went jeeping at the track in Spokane, and before the safety crew got to him, he had already downloaded the video of his crash via his cell phone. Some big hero...

Most of the local instructor group here dread trying to reign these kids in before they hurt themselves and/or one of us.

Bullet proof, stupid, and more money than God.
