Ha! Gotta get up pretty early to beat Nathan at posting news I guess..... I was just about to post the same info.....
Great info and not to take away from the posted link above, but I saw this a few weeks ago on a British Mini Forum, put together by a 17 year old! https://www.dropbox.com/s/a9bxo1dy4d8y7wa/Stephen%27s%20guide%20to%20Le%20Mans%202012.pdf Impressive work and I hope he's having fun there this weekend!
The DeltaWing feed listed at the link above was supposed to be an in-car but it looks like it's just a garage view now. The in-car cam was a last minute addition but the car had electrical problems during the warmup and they decided it was telemetry-related, caused by the camera, so they eliminated it.
Anyone not watching at the moment, there's been a huge crash between one of the front running Toyota hybrids and a Ferrari. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fzw5i14ewXY]Anthony Davidson Huge Crash 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours - YouTube[/ame]
Not their fault, Toyota "pro" driver took them out.... he had the spacial awareness of a mole when he was in F1...:screwy:
They actually are calling it "off" rather than "out" as the driver (Motoyama) has taken out the on-board tool kit and is still trying to fix the car well enough to get it back to the pits for, they hope, real repairs. I was out for a bit and missed the incident, who was the Toyota driver who did the deed? By the way, while out I noticed Radio Le Mans is being broadcast live on satellite radio XM 208.
Understatement of the race: "Seeing a set of headlight coming at you during a race is a bad sign and something to look out for".
Nakajima it was... Sadly he not only took out the Deltawing, he suffered his own teams chances of winning... Unbelievable that he was making a move like that, that early in a 24 hour race...
Ok, now the DeltaWing is officially "out." Too much damage to get it back into condition to limp back to the pits and officially retired by the team.
