If it don't come when I call it, then it doesn't deserve a name.

Mine is Blu & is a Brit car.
My cat & my kid don't come when I call them. -
Gromie is short for Grommit because we love Wallance and Grommit and Wallace is such a DA that we didn't want the car to feel unloved.
Maddie, short for Madonna, because she's blue, she's a Prima Donna, and because we rocked the stereo with American Life when we first got her.
Huntley, because GP Huntley was a relatively well known British actor on stage and in early movies and it just sounded cool! -

The first weekend we took the Clubbie out, the wife and daughter watched the movie Gremlins on the TV. Daughter like the Gremlin Gizmo, so she named the Clubbie.
Now how the boy child came up with Archibald for his 07 MCS I ain't got a clue -

My first MINI, a '62 Cooper S wasn't christened, but my 2nd - a 2003 Electric Blue Cooper S JCW was - it was the Blue Meni named for the character in Yellow Submarine...it also vaguely could be thought of as simply a mis-spelling of Blue Mini .
My current MINI is a 2009 Clubman, which goes by Max, because at the time it was the maximum sized MINI you could buy - of course now it's been supplanted by the Countryman.
I also am a fan of Maxwell Smart, so it could be said to be named after him, since it's so competent at everything it does.....would you believe..... -
The Beast got his name after I had him for a week or so. Pressing the gas pedal hard unleashes the beast hiding under the 'cute' exterior.
Motor On!

"Montag" is derived from the old movie Fahrenheit 451. As the lead character, Montag (Oskar Werner) portrays a fairly well regimented Fireman tasked with the burning of all literature, and is forced to choose between his own personal safety and intellectual freedom. As I have conquered neither, nor do I wish to, it seemed an appropriate name to adopt. The car's color scheme has a distant resemblance to the fire engine used in the movie, as well. I have also adopted the number 451 (a significant temp for us fire folks) as my CROC ID number.
Cheers! :beer Ahh, let's make it a double. That's post 200! :beerAttached Files:

This one is not that old but I thought it would be good to bring it back to the top again and see what happens.

How I named my Mini
My Mini is named CHUDLEIGH. It is named after a dear departed dog owned by Jacquie Lawson who does the most wonderful animated cards I’ve ever seen. Her main theme is wildlife and animals, her most oft used animal was her Dog Chudleigh (a brown Labrador Retriever ). She works out of her home in a little village in southern England named Lurgashall. I felt it was only right to name my Mini after her dog. In case you are wondering , her site is <http://www.jacquielawson.com>.

My wife had an 87 cavalier that she named Cameron because she thought it was a hypochondriac (like the guy from Ferris Buellers Day Off). If another one of our vehicles had a problem it never failed that Cameron would develop issues. Outside of that, I had never named a car.
The MINI has too much personality and had to be named. One of my children's favorite movies is Despicable Me. So MINION was born. (Minion - a follower devoted to serving his/her master relentlessly.) It's also pretty sweet that MINI is part of the name. -
I just call it The MINI. Because I frequently own several vehicles at a time they simply take on the name of what they are with "The" in front. The MINI.

Kowalski... Because the whole car is white and black like a penguin... and Kowalski is a penguin on the show/movie Penguins of Madagascar

Broken Smurf
After owning my MINI for almost 2 years I still had no name for it I actually thought this up with the help of a friend. Being that my MINI is blue and white I always saw it as a smurf I could never figure out which one. Because it seems my car is always going under the wrench for some repair/mod my friend said why not name it Broken Smurf? I decided that the name fits well.
After I get my car back from the shop (yep its broken again lol) It will be wearing a new name tag that says BROKNSMURF (euro front plate)
