My '12 Surf Blue Countryman S' name is Brigitte (Bri-gee-tah). >For the definition of the name Bridget (Celtic/Irish) or Brigitte (German/French): Resolute Strength >For the church I was christened in (St. Brigid's), >Because she looks like a Brigitte >For Brigitte in the Sound of Music My husband calls her Beezy (part of her license tag)--Oh well
I was going to name her something else when she told me her name was "Little Wing." I decided not to argue.
I guess you remember the CRT TVs, VCR, BETA, Vinyl LP, cassette tape, and 8 tracks too then lol...old fart club...:cornut:

Jetson - it just seemed to be a vehicle from that family. Our R55 was Mumbles cause my wife thought the exhaust sounded like it was mumbling.
Well on post #21 of this thread I talked about my 08. After driving my wires 05 MCS Cabrio I found out that I really liked the supercharger much more then the turbo. With this in mind I sold my 08 and then a week latter found my 06 MCS Cabrio. The only issue was that both cars are Hyper Blue hers has white stripes and mine has black stripes. Now with two MINI's in the garage the name was set at "Yang". Sure makes driving to my second job after retiring from the Navy after 30 years a lot more fun.
Stirling Moss was my favorite driver (and he drove Coopers) back in the '60s. When I ordered my '05 BRG Cabrio he was going to be 'The Untopable Moss" as a play on Cabrio, Green and Stirling Moss. Unfortunately, before the order was a week old, my old car's transmission died, and I needed a new car in a hurry. Called around to dealers within 500 miles, and found an available Cabrio with everything I wanted except the LSD and only one thing I didn't (Premium Package - who needs automatic temp control and upgraded radio in a Cabrio ) and it was Pure Silver rather than BRG. Well, the play on Stirling for Sterling and Stirling Moss was just too much to ignore - hence 'The Untopable Stirling"
Artemis is named after Artemus Gorden from Wild Wild West and Bumblebee is named after the Transformer.
