"Tackleberry" is a nickname someone gave me at work because of the amount of guns I own. I figured it was a good enough name for a bad a$$ little MINI.
I went to high school with the real Tackleberry from Police Academy. His name was David Graff and in school he was nothing like the character he played.
Mini Name Henrietta. It was the first song that I played in my car by The Fratellis and thought it sounded good as a british car name. Her nickname is Miss Misery, a song by Nazareth.
GIR. My daughter got me hooked on a Nickelodeon cartoon called Invader Zim. There is a little robot that is on his own program and just enjoys having fun. There are a few similarities, big eyes, and the little antenna. Couldn't think of a better name to give the GP.
The day we picked ours up and were on our way home, a song came on the radio. Wild Thing by the English band Troggs. Came home and checked our states personalized plates for the name abbreviated. No joy, both WldThng and WldThg were taken. But the song lyrics stuck in my head..."you make my heart sing..." so we just dropped the 'i' and made it an 'a' instead...sorta that country twang on it.
BUSTAH is his name !!! Went to my DMV and (of course) Buster was NOT available (imagine that!!)..soooooo after some deliberation and holding up one of the lines at the DMV I scrawled BUSTAH in one of the 5 name option blocks..the little lady checked it out in her database and (you guessed it!!) NO ONE had used this "made up" name !!! He is a 2010 Nightfire Red Metallic Cabrio with Tuscan Beige Leather..and Piano Black interior appointments !!! He is our Pride and Joy and we enjoy Motoring about TOPLESS every chance we get !!!:biggrin5:

I named mine Paddington because it sounds british, and its colors are Brown and Blue. Like Paddington Bear. Okay, it's just a hint of blue - but it's still blue.
Being single for the past 11 years and being the one car that I wanted from the time it first came out it's my Baby.
I'm sort of a movie & TV fanatic, si I named the car after someone who was small, but mighty....Bolo Yeung.
My MINI is named Tickled Pink. I had her custom painted Tickled Pink. Her plate says Tickled. And I am Tickled Pink to have her. Need I say more?
"Mini." It even says so on the front & rear. Alternate possibility would be "Skinny." I used to have a Fit named "Hissy."
The plates say MINIMUS but neither of us usually call it that. We typically refer to it as the MINI or I occasionally call it the Chubby Clubby. If I really want to get my wife riled up I call it the Wagon...
