Sorry Crashton,
Been away for a while. I agree with your comments about Nelson Ledges. I've found a line around the carousel that works for me and I absolutely own turn 13 (truly MINI territory). Traffic down the back straight is a challenge as you said. The brakers at the kink are a real problem but you have to allow for lesser performing cars handling-wise. On slicks, I am just not going to lift for a mere kink unless someone parks a regular car in my way (use Mustang, Charger, Camero, Viper pretty much interchangeably in this context). BMW M3/M5 is a different story but not by too much.

My car turned 147 mph on the 405S in Irvine California a year or two ago on only 225 whp
I don't remember what gear or rpm i was in but it was on gps. and still slowly pulling.
Now that i make a lot closer to 270 i'm sure i can go a bit more. Then again I'm truly afraid of what will happen if i get caught.
I was pulled over here positive i was doing about 55-60 and was ticketed for 78 in a 45. I don't trust the police.
Its pretty interesting to see just how fast the mini is capible of. -

I'm not sure there is a track with a long enough straight to hit 147 in your MINI. Maybe the Bonneville salt flats.

I only did it that once or twice, I'm over it.
