I didn't cherry pick anything. I just went to youtube and typed in 'Faux News' and got the first two links. I added the third because I had seen it recently. In case you missed it, the comment that was made that I was refuting by those links was "and yes I do watch FOX news and would trust their reporting way before NBC, ABC, and CBS. they are no longer news worthy outlets in my opinion." No news outlet is truly unbiased. Most don't claim to be, well, except Fox News. I tend to get my facts from two outlets - the BBC and CSM. They're about as neutral as it gets.
News outlets are all about ratings, Period. Whatever it takes, that's what caught Dan Rather after all. But the issue here is Chairman Mao on a Christmas (Oh wait, holiday) Tree in the white house! Do some research on Mao. Some humanitarian he was.
I get most of my news from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Very similar to BBC. I also used to watch Naked News:ihih:, till they started charging:incazzato: Mark
Well, BBC and CBC are fine, as long as you understand that they're both gonna conduct their analysis and reporting based on an underlying worldview consistent with the social and political norms of Britain and Canada, respectively. CSM? Really? But you scoff at FoxNews?
from my current boss who was high up at a three letter intel agency (like, confirmed by the Senate), the two I mentioned are the most trustworthy news source. But, I'm sure you've got better contacts to substantiate your opinion that Fox > *?
logic > you ut: then again, I should know better than to try to convince those who think Fox News is accurate that it's not. Kool-Aid...you gots.
I dont watch the news any more as its all lame info even the weather people cant tell you what its going to do tomorrow lol
Despite its name, the CSM is not a religious-themed paper, and does not promote the doctrine of its patron church. The paper has been known for avoiding sensationalism, producing a "distinctive brand of nonhysterical journalism".
The best thing to do concerning a weather forecast is to walk outside and look up. If it were just as easy to keep track of government!
You have probably noticed I tend to spell certain words in a Canuckian way:lol: Your right, the perspective is different than most U.S. news outlets, as it should be. You will also find that there is more international coverage, even if the issue being reported has nothing to do with either the U.K. or Canada. I don't think there is any unbiased reporting from any news outlet, so getting as many different points of view helps in figuring out for yourself what the hell is going on. Mark
Looking up to track the folks in Washington would be akin to tracking ocean levels in a desert.....
? > Kool-Aid? Kool-Aid rocks. I dunno Nathan - it's like "moderates" and "independents"... half of them are trying so hard to be "non-hysterical" that they refuse to see big issues when they're right in front of them... they have the best hind-sight in the world, though. To them, the behavior of the current congress and administration was completely unforeseeable... but now that it's played out, they've run in the opposite direction... but for many of us, it was inevitable. Who's less biased... the sources who are proven right later, or the sources who avoided any air of "partiality" before the inevitable played out? My opinion - when you're right, be passionate about it. Because the folks who are wrong are pretty passionate about being wrong.
Whoa, I did a good job of hijacking my own thread with my comments about Fox News, the OP was about Mao ornament on WH christmas tree, which by the way is still very offensive. To me it just goes to show how much the current administration idolizes the principles of socialism and wants a one world non capitalistic government.
