    ......had to walk over to the Television to turn it on and off and to change the channel....of course there wasn't but about three channels to flip through.

    Had a part time after school job with a TV repairman. (remember those? It was the job of the future.) There were three color TVs in town and the only day we could make house calls to adjust them was on Saturday. The only programs in color up 'till then were the Saturday morning cartoons.

    Generators instead of alternators and the first thing you did when they didn't work was change the brushes.
