Trimming up a bit, my barber's scissors tell me they need sharped or replaced which brought to mind a childhood memory: Standing on the sidewalk watching the scissorsgrind sharpen mom's kitchen knives and scissors on his treadle grind stone he carried on his back by a strap. Guess I'll have to replace.

My dad smoked all they way up till they were 35¢, he used to give me money to run (literally) down to the gas station and buy him a pack out of the machine - nobody even gave me a second look - and I was about 10 then!

The car of course, unless your remembering High School history. Not sure they even teach that stuff anymore because it's not PC.

    Remember Datsun?

The Datsun nameplate may soon be revived by Nissan Motor Co. as a low-cost sub-brand for emerging markets such as Russia and India.

The Japanese carmaker plans to relaunch Datsun in 2014 and initially start selling the cars in Russia, India and Indonesia, Japan's Nikkei business daily reported. The vehicles will be priced around 500,000 yen ($6,100), it said.

Didn't Datsun translate into "Wet Blanket" in some native tongue somewhere?

When I was in Japan in the late 60's the taxi cabs were all Datsun 510's, they were called Bluebirds over there. Wish I had one of those scripts today.

Speed Racer on Saturday mornings (and when I was home sick from school). The original cartoon where there was a lot of dialogue, yet nobody's ever mouth moved.
