    Go rent a Chevy Aveo from Enterprise. I had one recently as a loaner. It was one of those "I didn't know they still make them" moments.

    Non power steering, manual drum brakes, manual choke, points, crank which would actually start engine, side curtains, a cable inside to open the doors, solid lifters, non syncro first gear. All on my first car, a 1959 MGA.
