The sound of a pressure cooker hissing steam. The swept wing Dodges. The adventures of Ozzie and Harriet on the radio.
I traded my very first used car in for my very second used car and IT had a 4 track player crammed into the console. I'm pretty sure that Antiques Roadshow would place a very high price on one of those puppies today but I'd still rather have that second used car.

Full service gas stations.... pump your gas, check your oil, water and air along with correcting them and wash your windshield to boot! My first job when I was 15.
Yep, I did that summers in high school and all through college. It was a PITA when you were working three cars at the same time and one was a fill up, but the other two wanted $5.00 and $2.00. You could also look really dumb when you couldn't find the hood release. Jim
I still have 2 working rotary phones in the house (I like a real bell ringer, not a digital recording of a ringer). It is fun to point anyone under 16 to the phone and tell em to make a call!
yeh...but you always took a little extra time washing the drivers side windshield of the lady wearing the short skirt  C'mon Jim, don't act like you didn't do it, BTDT
