Trimming up a bit, my barber's scissors tell me they need sharped or replaced which brought to mind a childhood memory: Standing on the sidewalk watching the scissorsgrind sharpen mom's kitchen knives and scissors on his treadle grind stone he carried on his back by a strap. Guess I'll have to replace.
My dad smoked all they way up till they were 35¢, he used to give me money to run (literally) down to the gas station and buy him a pack out of the machine - nobody even gave me a second look - and I was about 10 then!
The car of course, unless your remembering High School history. Not sure they even teach that stuff anymore because it's not PC.
Remember Datsun? The Datsun nameplate may soon be revived by Nissan Motor Co. as a low-cost sub-brand for emerging markets such as Russia and India. The Japanese carmaker plans to relaunch Datsun in 2014 and initially start selling the cars in Russia, India and Indonesia, Japan's Nikkei business daily reported. The vehicles will be priced around 500,000 yen ($6,100), it said.
When I was in Japan in the late 60's the taxi cabs were all Datsun 510's, they were called Bluebirds over there. Wish I had one of those scripts today.
A little Nova trivia. The Chevrolet Nova was the first model built on its chassis. GM then made the Oldsmobile Omega, Pontiac Ventura, and the Buick Apollo using the Nova chassis. If you take the first letter from each of those models, Nova-Omega-Ventura-Apollo, it spells NOVA:biggrin5::idea::biggrin5: (this truly proves that I'm older than dirt)
"Too much time on your hands" and "Older than..." are the two veriables in a rather long drawnout zero sum equation...arent' they?
Your old, but not as dirt, if you remember "Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie". Both BTW are on WGN early in the morning, which I watch all the time :biggrin5: Actually sent them an e-mail asking them if they would put "Gilligan's Island" back on.......no response yet :cryin:
