The Tom Swift Jr. books, I found a whole series of 30 some of the books on Amazon a few years ago and bought them for my grandsons, they've read every one cover to cover many times!
If you can remember where the bright light switch used to be before it got postioned on the turn indicator stalk???
How about the brake and clutch pedals that pushed into the floor instead of being hung from above. My first car a 1951 Plymouth had those kind of pedals.
And the teachers wore those print house dresses and black orthopedic oxfords with the 1" heels and carried a metric ruler (thicker than the regular yardstick) that hurt like he!!...but it only took once. Oh yea, and they were at least 90 years old. Our principal was the 5th grade teacher so she wasn't male and scuttlebutt had it that she had an electric paddle in her office. NOBODY wanted to test that theory.
:cornut: When most boys 3rd grade and up had/carried a small pocket knife(Swiss Army/Case/Remington/official Boy Scout/Schrade/Kabar/Buck/Camillus...........) that their father or grandfather had given them and instructed them in its proper use and correct sharpening. The teachers and principals all knew that boys carried a pocket knife and knew that if they had to take it away from you for dad to retrieve, you wouldn't be able to sit down for a week and wouldn't have the knife back for eons.Once some one had stolen the magnets off of the 'stick ons' so we all got searched. My teacher said,"nice knife. Does your father know that you have it? Well okay." I remember that there were lace up boots that had a snap pouch on the out side to carry one's knife but mom said,"those are too expensive and only 'hoods' wear them." Yeah Buddy times have changed. Now the police would be called.............:eek6::frown2::frown5::nonod: Jason
