Saturday afternoon matinee with cartoon, the news and an episode of the serial like Buck Rogers, Tarzan and so on.
They are dwindling fast, but fond memories of the drive in theater and how many we could sneak in hiding in the trunk. Fun time at intermission with the dancing and singing caricatures from the snack bar. The "hang on the window speaker" and of course all the steamed windows on the cars way in the back.
This may sound strange but I miss life before the Internet, and Cell Phones. I remember helping my Mom defrost our non-frost free Philco refrigerator.
We have two drive-in movies theaters near us. One is a tri-plex. They don't have the speakers, that you hang on the driver's side window, they have a short range FM transmitters. Dave
