Your older than dirt when you flung the poop over the back fence and hoped the neighbor never came knocking on the door to tell your parents. (They never did)
I used to play poop golf in the Winter with my older bothers clubs.:lol: I was Bill Murray in Caddie Shack. "It's in the hole" In the winter the poop from our large Irish setter would be frozen and I would practice wedge shots buy hitting poop over the fence into the next yard. I live on a peninsula of private land surrounded by a 700 acre wildlife sanctuary, there are woods all around my neighborhood. When the vet asks me to bring a stool sample, for the dog's annual check up, I have to tell her that I don't know where the dog poops. All the neighborhood dogs are kind of free range dogs and they all poop in the woods, I never see dog poop anywhere around here.
Hitting those frozen turds sounds hilarious! We just used'ta tee up our old golf balls and hit 'em over the fence (in a rather tightly built residential neighborhood). Not sure where the hell they went or what they hit. We figured the main artery, just two streets to the East, was an easy 9 Iron. When hitting a wooden club of ones choice, it was anybody's guess......
San Francisco already started the policy a number of years ago. We are using these compostible bags for our two 80 lb dogs: Amazon.com : 120-Count Earth Rated® Unscented Dog Waste Bags, 8 Refill Rolls : Pet Waste Bags : Pet Supplies
Nice, thanks! That's a good price! I'll keep those in mind next time I need those. Love Amazon. For my backyard, I've been using a specific tool for about a decade now. It's a large plastic cylinder attached to the end of a handle, and the tip of the cylinder is pronged (to facilitate poo picking), and there are two little nubs on each side of the cylinder specifically for tying a plastic shopping bag to the top, non-pronged end of the cylinder. So I scoop up poo, tip it slightly, and it falls into the bag. Pretty neat design...I think some kid came up with it. Guess I gotta shop for some other poo picker-upper.
A picker-upper sounds convenient for a back yard, but I'd look like a dork walking around with one in the city. Any pics of your dogs? Here are mine: https://sites.google.com/site/blazegreyhound/home
Next time I go to the supper market I will grab you tons of the shopping bags you cannot get anymore and mail them to you. No plastic bag banning here, they double plastic bag everything.
Your dogs are gorgeous! My two are Grimmy (male purebred German Shepherd) and Elly (female German Shepherd mix):
