Good feedback - we can play with that.. And I can adjust each pages layout to a certain extent without going custom. The table of contents is a little more challenging... I’ll have to think about that. If you like and have time, we can get online at the same time and try different settings to see what you have in mind.. then once the changes are made we can ask the group their thoughts.. You open to that?

I strongly dislike the colored tag labels. When I look at a list of threads, I want to scan through the thread titles, and bright colored blobs are a big distraction. I would prefer that all tags be the same minimal gray like some of them already are:

If you want a "generation" specific section you can click on 1st Generation MINI (40 articles there) and it will take you to this page: https://www.motoringalliance.com/articles/category/1st-generation-mini.6/
Now that the articles are moved over, I will be working on making navigation better. Ultimately, I want it to be so simple I don't need to explain it... and for it to work on both PC/Mobile seamlessly. Keep the feedback coming... and THANKS for the great articles you have produced. -

Poll is now:
7 - for the "old style"
11 - for the "new style"
I'm also researching to see if there is a good way to blend the styles somewhat.. I found a site I really like the layout of. Still researching how/what they did. Has a good modern feel, is clean you can find information really quickly. Will keep ya'll updated. -

Are you talking about the way the site looked before the upgrade and now? Or are you talking about the new look before and after the tweaks?
Maybe you could post screen shots of the two versions of the site that you are talking about. -
Oh sorry, in the bottom left of the screen there is a "style" chooser. You could choose between this style (Motoring Alliance) or default style. Initially, I only planned on having one style. However some people like the older forum style better. So I updated it with the MA colors and created (Old Style color rush)... Now called (Motoring Alliance Old Style). To see the different styles, use the Style Selector at the bottom. It looks like this:
Here are images: Motoring Alliance
Here are images of the "new" old style - Motoring Alliance Old Style
Let me know if you have any questions... and thoughts.
Thanks,
Josh -
Note - I did "turn off" old style. So now it's just Motoring Alliance and Motoring Alliance Old Style. Let me know if anyone has any issues/questions/concerns... or loves it.
Thanks,

One more for the old style. I'm with fishmonger. Just can't wrap my head around the new format.

Good deal - glad we brought back the old school.. Frankly I like some components of the old and some of the new. Still working to figure out the best of both.. either way, I will continue to provide the options.

I am having a hard time seeing what is newly posted. Getting to the new posts via mobile (how I usually look at the site because I REALLY hate tapatalk) is cumbersome. It took me almost 10 mins to find that in the correct menu (go to forums first, then the menu at the top, select "Whats New", then select "New Posts") the first time. I believe there used to be a "new posts" link on the front page.
Otherwise, I like the new site. It looks and feels fresh. -
1) What size/type of mobile device are you using?
2) Are you seeing the three little lines? If not, I can take some screen shots to make sure we are both seeing/not seeing the same thing.
3) Are you using the "Motoring Alliance" theme or the "Motoring Alliance Old Style" theme.. (If you don't know how to change, I can explain)
In theory one of the nice things about the new platform is its built with mobil in mind. Its whats called a "responsive" design. So the page layout adjust based on the size of the screen. Let me know, as I want to make it easy for everyone to pop to new post/articles/garage etc..
