A little off subject but I was looking at you tube an found one on the 2025 Mustang 2025 GTD. Sounds like a real great car and so does the price. A round 300-350k. limited number like 300. It's a full blown race car for the street. 800hp 50/50 weight balance carbon fiber body and brakes also looks great. They plan to take it to Daytona and Le Mans.

Checkers is going in on the 29th for some minor up grades to the engine compartment. Some hoses and a new valve cover. I'm still working on painting the valve cover. I'll take some pictures when he comes home. Getting ready for the car show at Blackhawk Museum in Oct.

    Another day another car show..
Today was the annual British Car Show in Chicagoland..
There were lots of Classic Minis and lots of new MINIs including a Goodwood edition and a pair of GP-3's owned by a husband/wife who regularly take them to the track.

I was a guest driver for a friend's 1960 Triumph Herald, so no MINI for me.

I put a Wagner one in and it was a
real bitch to sniggle in due to the
larger size. Even the stock one
    is a struggle.

I have a flip phone. I have always thought a phone is to make calls. I have a laptop for everything else.

Taking Checkers back to the shop to have the red boots back on. It looks better in red. Besides I got a code when I came home. I used my scanner to check the code (P1682) idle something. I didn't clear it , but when I started it up today it was gone.

Very nice pictures, I have to say, the black 4dr looked rather nice, wheels and it appeared to be lowered or is that the stock stance on the 4drs?

Again, you guys have some good rides and weather to enjoy.

I got Checkers back. All good and they found the screwdriver I lost when I replaced the CAI hose. I hate it when I loose something and can't find it. Oh I don't feel bad about the boots they said it took the mechanic almost an hour to install them. Next on the 12th it go's to the detailer for a wash and engine detail. I 'm just wondering if they can do a better job they me. Besides I'm getting to old to be bent over to long. By the way gas here just went to $6.61 for premium.

Checked the fluids in GIR yesterday and just happened to notice a torn boot on the steering rack. Ordered the parts, hoping I dont have to drop the whole front end to replace it.

I'm getting lazy. I pickup Checkers from the detailers today for the car show on Sunday. I'll try and take some pictures. It's an all British car and bike show with a lot of classic minis.

Thanks again. The detailer I use is amazing. They even detailed the caps on the AC freon lines. It's always nice when things turn out the way you like.

threw a battery tender charger on my MINI last night because it has been sitting in a remote garage for 3 weeks.

I have been working on reviving a motorcycle that has been off the road for many years and need the space to move around..

Hope to get the MINI back home soon.

    It is a modified 1987 BMW K75s

It is from a family friend who passed away a couple years ago. He had 2 bikes that were offered to me.. I took the 74 BMW R60/6 which I remember from when he got it new, and I made it into my only (and probably final) bike.

This one has been sitting for many years, but it was put away pretty well.. It has lots of hop-up parts and was converted from fuel injection to carburetors. I've done a bunch of cleanup from storage, replaced oil, coolant, brake fluid, battery and got it started and running. Took it for a couple short test drives and it feels really strong. Working on tires now, and just found a small leak in the front brake master cylinder and it needs a new brake light switch.. then it will be going up for sale by the family.

I must be getting over the hill. I was looking back at some pictures of AMVIV on the NAM site from 2006 to 2010. That's when I was there. It was a lot of fun. Now a days there are nothing like it. I belong to several clubs that have runs on some pretty good roads but it's not the same thing. I really miss that time. I went to mini west this year and it was good ,but not the same.

Got Scooby's wheels ready for the snow tyre change over. Aired up & cleaned. If I'm allowed access to my sweeties MINI tomorrow the snow shoes go on and the rubber floor mats go in.

I'm holding off as long as I can.. probably till it is too late.
Both MINIs have all seasons so if we get caught in a small/medium storm it wont be terrible, but the snow tires are better.
